Established in 1997, the UAE Marine Sports Federation is the responsible body for sponsoring marine sport activities at the level of the United Arab Emirates, in line with the role played by the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare and the National Committee of Colombia, and to raise the level of marine sports activity within the country. And to ensure a strong representation and high level of UAE contestants in international forums and the achievement of the medals that raise the flag of the United Arab Emirates bellow.
The UAE Marine Sports Federation is the point of contact with all international federations of marine sports as well as the international, regional and gulf federations for coordination on all matters related to marine sports activities and coordination of global agendas and giving no objection in organizing tours of international races inside the UAE, as well as the issuance of international licenses for UAE contestants to enable them to participate in the international events.
The UAE Marine Sports Federation is responsible for monitoring all clubs operating in the marine activity inside the state, overseeing and supervising the races and making coordinating among the clubs at all levels, to make a unified annual agenda of the state that does not have any conflicts that impede the smooth flow of the maritime season, consider and decide on the objections submitted by the contestants, and follow up on all sports activities in the clubs and direct them in line with the future vision of the United Arab Emirates. The role of the Federation for supervising all international and global events that are held within the territory of the State is essential, thus reflecting the image required by the General Authority of Youth & Sports Welfare for the State and showing it in a proper appearance through following up on the events, setting the appropriate frameworks and finding solutions to all problems facing the organizers. The Federation is the only body that has the ability to communicate with all governmental and non-governmental entities for being federal umbrella that sponsors the state’s marine sports activity. This is what we seek to achieve through the implementation of this plan.
